Team Manager Training
All team managers must complete training before the season begins.
Required Training
1. Team Manager Orientation
- Watch the orientation video
- Review the orientation presentation
- Complete the task list at the Manager Overview page
- Contact [email protected] with questions
2. Background Check
- Access your profile through InLeague
- Click “Begin Background Check”
- If unavailable, select “Team Manager” in Volunteer Preferences for board approval
- Allow time for processing by Sterling Volunteers
3. Safe Haven Online Training (20 minutes)
- Log into eTrainU through your InLeague profile
- Access Training Library, then Safe Haven, then View Courses
- Enroll in “AYSO’s Safe Haven 2022”
4. Required Reading

Recommended Training
Concussion and Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training
Team managers are frequently the first to observe signs of a head injury. California law requires this training for certain youth sports roles. Complete through eTrainU.
