Region 13 follows AYSO national policies along with local rules specific to our region.

Player Safety
Concussion Protocol
- All players and parents receive CDC concussion information (available in English and Spanish)
- Volunteers complete CDC Concussion Awareness training
- Any player suspected of having a concussion must be removed from play for the remainder of the day
- Medical evaluation and written clearance required before returning to play
Sudden Cardiac Arrest
- Information sheets provided to all families
- Volunteers complete Simon’s Heart SCA training
- Players showing symptoms are removed from play immediately and must receive professional medical evaluation
Field Rules
Turf Fields
Only water is permitted on turf fields. No sports drinks, food, or gum. Only players, coaches, and referees are allowed on the field or benches.
No Pets
Pets are not allowed at any AYSO events in the region. Service animals are exempt.
Equipment
Jewelry
Earrings and other jewelry must be removed to play soccer. This is a Law of the Game and applies to all practices and games. Earrings cannot be taped over.
Medical alert bracelets may be worn but should be taped down or covered.

Respect the Referee
Coaches and parents must model good sportsmanship and avoid disparaging volunteer referees.

Privacy
Personal data is handled according to AYSO National Board-approved privacy policies. Credit and debit card information is not stored. Background check data is encrypted and restricted to Risk Management personnel.
